NCEE released an interim report on the congressionally mandated evaluation of the centers, a federally funded program that provides technical assistance to states to implement provisions of NCLB through 16 Regional Comprehensive Centers (RCCs) and 5 Content Centers (CCs).

This interim report addresses the first of the evaluation’s three rounds of data collection pertaining to the Comprehensive Centers. NCEE released an interim report on the congressionally mandated evaluation of the centers, a federally funded program that provides technical assistance to states to implement provisions of NCLB through 16 Regional Comprehensive Centers (RCCs) and 5 Content Centers (CCs).

IMPAQ is examining the design, implementation, and outcomes of the 22 Comprehensive Technical Assistance Centers. This review includes the Content Centers and Regional Centers, both important sources of technical assistance for state education agencies (SEAs).

This interim report is based primarily on interviews with Center staff in and focuses on how the Comprehensive Centers designed their technical assistance (TA).
